Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to electrical services supplied by Active Electrical & Maintenance where incorporated into, referred to by, or otherwise agreed as part of a quote, work order or service engagement.

1. Quotes and scope

Quotes are based on information and site conditions reasonably known when prepared. Work outside the stated scope may be treated as a variation and priced separately.

2. Variations and unforeseen conditions

Existing faults, concealed wiring, inaccessible areas, non-compliant existing work, hazardous conditions or other unforeseen conditions may require additional work, materials or time. Where practicable, material variations will be discussed before proceeding.

3. Access and customer responsibilities

The customer must provide safe and reasonable access and disclose known hazards, faults or restrictions that may affect the work.

4. Customer-supplied equipment

The customer is responsible for ensuring customer-supplied equipment is suitable, complete and available. This does not affect obligations relating to our own workmanship.

5. Electrical safety and compliance

Electrical work will be carried out in accordance with applicable legal and safety requirements. Unsafe or non-compliant conditions may require isolation or additional rectification.

6. Delays

Timing may be affected by weather, access, product availability, third parties, existing site conditions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

7. Invoicing and payment

Invoices are payable according to the payment terms stated on the applicable quote or invoice.

8. Warranties and Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
